Who is Mike Owen?
Mike is a business matchmaker, in that he arranges meetings, sponsors and business connections for deals. He is a graduate of Barton College in North Carolina, with a BS. in marketing.
Mike has been actively networking and teaching business networking for over 14 years and has run few businesses along way. He is a former publisher and founder of a business events magazine in South Florida, managing partner in a wireless sales and consulting business and website design and consulting business. His main strength has been actively networking and building relationships in Florida. In addition, he has been involved in several groups over the years like Broward Chamber of Commerce (www.BrowardBiz.com) and Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce (www.FTLChamber.com), The Broward Alliance, The Boys and Girls Club, YMCA of South Florida, Fragile X (leading cause of autism and mental retardation), Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of South Florida, www.IDUKA.org (funding students for college) and the American Cancer Society to name a few.
What does he do?
Mike and his team's expertise lies in event production, marketing consulting, branding, internet marketing and business matchmaking. He regularly consults with companies that need help in getting a better ROI from marketing, branding locally through events and connections and making initial contact with prospective clients or strategic alliances. He is helping clients understand the importance of using social media a an effective tool in being more accessible, branding and bringing in business. Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and more social media websites are rapidly changing the landscape of how we do business today. Mike will help incorporate some strategies to create more income for your business.
He is one the managing partners in the highly successful "Martini Networking events" in South Florida. The events regularly pull in over 100 attendees and are buzz around town. He also is one of the recognized leaders in producing niche events. These include Legal/Medical Networking, GC/Contractors Networking, Women Networking, CEO Networking, Luxury Events to name a few. His recent success was the introduction of Network Palooza (www.NetworkPalooza.biz) , an all day expo and seminar series which featured some of South Florida's premier networking companies and experts.
In addition, he has spoken to chambers, networking groups and expositions on the topic of networking. Some of the organizations he has spoken to are the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers, Dania Beach Chamber, Florida Memorial University, Lauderhill Chamber, Arbonne International and the Minority Chamber of Dade (Expo).

Mike teams up with two other managing partners Omahar Stephenson (Ambassador to Jamaica for the International Business Council of Florida) and Damian James, a South Florida and Caribbean businessman.
